Re: new email forum (or whatever you call it)

DJ,
This can be a little hard to understand.  Five years ago I used Gary's site a lot, like my bible, to find parts, read articles, look at cars, look at vendors, etc.  I also had a bunch of mopar engine parts for sale.  I have some left fub don't know what to do with them.  They were on Gary's site for a while and I got a couple of nibbles, and sent them some quality used but in great shape Hughes hydraulic cam and lifters, Hughes lifters, stock rocker arms, pushrods and intake gaskets.  The guy said he had cancer and was from Louisiana and his money was good ad I had his order shopped out posthaste.  Never heard back from him and that cam make for a nice street engine.  I had some other stuff to sell and people wanted my original Max Wedge heads for next to nothing so I still have them.  Plus the original intake and vavle covers in perfect condition and I don't want to give them up.

Yes, I keep refering to THIS EMAIL FORUM, which is relatively new, attracting a lot of people with questions to which they get many answers to which Gary already has in his web site and I urge the new guys and old guys to read his whole site and check out all the links then they willl know more answers.  Plus a lot of people are learning things on this NEW Email forum and many new people are signing in for the first time and everyone is excited.  I know I am.  Somebody will have an answer for anything, most often multiple answers to go with the web site.  We have to keep in touch with the web site too.  It has EVERYTHING, at least it seemed like it to me.  Its fun and everyone seems to be having a good time.  But I"ve been in the shadows for too long with political stuff and other hobbies.  The time to swing back to my car is soon.  Hope I get a few rides in the White Coffin.

Chick,
You keep referring to this 62 to 65 mopars as new, the google group is new, Gary (up-graded) from Tropica web site, as it was getting long in the tooth. This form and the information page has been around since 1997 (?). When I believe Gary started it. So it and a lot of the members, have been here (it seems) forever. And I mean that in a good way. Heck the average age on this site is what we figure out 56 years young?

Gary, the guy who make the '62 to '65 Mopar web site, also moderates there with a few columns, keeps that site up to date and polices this site and reads every post, tries to welcome some new people (this just started month ago and suddenly took off like a rocket).  Take a look at his WHOLE website and you will see how much info it contains and how complete it is.  Some of it could probably use to be redone as it is a little out of date, but certain pages get updated as needed.

His site has helped more people than we both can imagine.  If you haven't done this yet, do it when you get a chance.  Read the whole webpage and look at all the links.  Actually go to them.  Look at all the places he has listed of where to go for what.  Links to directrions you need.
After you take a look at that, and  this email site, maybe you and I will still think the same.  You might think that was a good idea but who would moderate it?  Gary's hands are full now.  Do we really need a moderator?

No doubt it would be maybe handier for people taking advantage of all of technology.  Gary uses a lot of it.  There is more technology all the time and if you are on top of the curve right now (anyone) you have it pretty good.  Us old dinosaurs are lucky to use computers and email.   LOL on that.

Also, would 62-65 mopars be interested in making a Facebook page? I look and couldn't find one. Be a good way to meet more mopar fans and get more knowledge! I interested I could make it and manage it with anyone else. That way we can also have a dedicated chat room, pictures readily available, and most importantly more members! Let me know your thoughts!
