The  1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List has been online since 1999 and over time several polls of members resulted in the general majority vote to keep it only a Mail List.

Unlike Facebook, a main positive advantage of the Mail List format is that it is an open format. That is, you can subscribe to the 1962 to 1965 Mail List and participate in the discussion without joining Google Groups itself. 

The major historical discussion option for the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Web Site was to include a bulletin board style discussion format. That is, for many years I’ve had the option of running a Web based style bulletin board on the 1962-1965 site, (like "Moparts" for example). Never did, since the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List is available to read "bulletin board" style on the Web if that is a member's preference. And I could never identify anything a Web-based bulletin board does that a Mail List can’t accomplish.

Also, there are only so many hours in a day for Mopar Web surfing. Unfortunately! :) Currently I don't think I have the bandwidth to budget for another group. More power (MoPower) to those members here on Facebook though. You are probably younger and more energetic anyway. LOL

Last, but not least, thanks to everyone for their contributions to the discussions and your virtual friendship over the years. The 1962 - 1965 Web site and Mail List Clubhouse are greatly propelled by your indefatigable passion for these 1962 to 1965 Mopars.

So, much thanks for all the input! We’ll stick with the general majority vote to keep only a Mail List officially associated with the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Web Site. :)
