Richard

If i had not remembered you and your car from the past...

The wooden carb isolators would still be remembered....

The only thing I would say about gaskets is that I avoid Mr Gasket stuff like the plaque!  It is Chinese junk. I about ruined a F*** with a chrome Mr Gasket T-stat housing. Darn thing was warped and froze up the stat.

I use the rubber one's from Fel-pro but others prefer the cork although I think it may be very hard to find the cork gaskets.

Here's a picture of my stock (not) valve cover paint job.

valve cover refurb ?

I want to paint the valve covers on my 1963 Belvedere 318 Poly.

A few questions...

1) I don't see any evidence of there being a 318 sticker on the valve
covers. Is this correct?

2) I plan on removing the valve covers, sandblasting them and then
priming and painting?
Does anyone have a recommendation on paints to use?

3) Is there any difference in the valve cover gaskets, e.g. Fel-pro,
Mr. Gasket etc? Preferences?

Thanks,  Fred
