Doug, I would remove both cables (especially the positive one), clean them
again, and make sure that something (unseen corrosion, metal shard, etc) has not
gotten inside the cable and the post. The spark indicates the issue is
between the post and cable.
PS: Been there, done that many times with my MOPARS.
Clean-looking doesn't always mean clean.

Check all your grounds. Does it have a ground strap from block to
firewall? Ground from neg cable to body? Some times the cable becomes loose
inside the battery end itself and needs to be recrimped or snugged
somhow.

Tried to go for a drive yesterday but my '64 Sport Fury wouldn't
start.
Battery is fully charged, connections are clean.
When I turn the key all I get is a spark on the positive
battery post,
and a click but nothing else.
Any advice?
