So if there's a "lip" in the block behind these plugs so that you can drive the plug against it and expand it, how to I get them out? Just beat them in farther to distort them enough to pull them? Are ALL the plugs in this block this style and are all sizes available?? This block is a '66. Also, I read someplace in the net that you have to have a machine shop remove the lip in plug holes to install a newer style freeze plug. Is this true? Are these older style plugs tougher to get a good seal with?
