wow. your friend has alot going on there.  first, when you use a "late model" K frame (66 and newer) in a 64, you move the engine back and all that's attached to it. It won't just be about the bell housing or the clutch set up. However, if he really wants to make the swap he will have to use the bell housing and clutch set up for the 440 and whatever manual trans he chooses. Next i would recommend putting a 62-65 BB k member back in the car to get the engine placement where it should be. Then you can find the clutch linkage parts and the correct length drive shaft on line or at the major mopar swap meets.   Good luck with your friends project.
