Cory, No offence inended, but I think you should be skeptical about what your soutces are tellong you. . Every product has a few that aren't right in some way==but most problems with Pertronics is because of installation error. I have had mine for 6 years and 20,000 miles with no problem. Howeverf I do wish the instructions at the time would make it a little more clear about what coil should be used and whether or not the ballast resister is needed .
