Never tried it myself but was told you could put a socket on the bolt with a breaker bar and brace the handle against the LH frame rail, then use the starter to turn engine and bolt would back right out.
 
Always did mine out of the car so never had occasion to try this.

I am guessing that someone has a great trick for removing the damper bolt while the engine is in the car and the oil pan is on. Also, the bolt is a right hand thread right?
