Re: 270 Red Ram lead

Part of the reason for considering the slant six for the 47 coupe was to avoid the interference problems a v8 creates w/ the steering gear.  A lot of guys go to a Mustang or Camaro rack system to avoid this.  I don't want to go to that expense and trouble.  Also as Ollie states, "sure is a conversation starter".  As far as performance, that's not my biggest concern.  But I could also contact Don Dulmage to see what enhancements he put into his slant six Senior Dragster.

Hi all,

I am passing along this lead from an email I received in case anyone has a project it could work with. Not exactly 62-65, but I guess you could "street rod" out a '65 Barracuda with this in it for fun. :)

Thanks,

For sale: I have a 270 C.I. Super Red Ram Hemi, four barrel engine for sale.... The motor is complete and is not stuck (turns free), but I'm not sure if it runs. I'm asking $1500 for the engine, but will consider offers. The engine is located in southern California.  Erich 714-488-2100

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
