I still suggest checking out the neutral safety
switch. With what you have found out, that could still be the
problem.......................MO

Thanks for the answers. I finally made some
progress.
On the starter relay, for testing, I was shorting the
two light gauge 'tab' connectors, then turning the key all the way to crank
it. That's when it would go 'click click click' and then
nothing. Today I tried turning the key one 'notch' just to engage
the electric, then I shorted the two 'nut' connectors on the start
relay. Yay!! The starter cranked good and the engine started and
ran. So I guess the problem exists between the starter
relay and the ignition switch. I just replaced the ignition switch maybe
1 year ago. I'll check for loose connections and crappy wires. Or
a faulty switch, but it's pretty new. Any advice on
diagnosing? Anyway, getting closer. Certainly more is right
than wrong. - Jim
