Our 55 plymouth still has the 6V positive ground system. But when I charged the battery it still needed to be hooked to the charger red to pos. and black to neg. is this normal for a pos. ground system? Or does th battery need to be ran dead and charged the opposite way. Thanks

It will still stay with the Positive/Red/+ post ( terminal) being the one to the
ground and the Black/ + / Negitive Treminal ( post ) being the thing the wire
is bolted to.

The battery polarity does not change , the reversed grd. issue is accomplished in the cars wiring cicuitry..
