Would like to see a picture of the owner, that might clear things up a bit....
I'm sure at that price it will get better treatment from the new owner, it looks very solid and complete and it's loaded AND you get a flame thrower in the bargain!
You guys in the US are sooo lucky, i would pick this up in a snap!

I don't see what's all the fuss about. The seller is, after all, the number1moparman. He obviously knows his stuff.

looks like a steal at that price!...
i'd drive it like that, easily...

would likely re-sell it within a couple of years to the first person that offered me more than that at-a-steal price tag...
but i'd re-sell not because of the "custom paint", but more along the lines of i already have my favorite ride from the year '61

we get some very strange rat-rod paint schemes around these neck of the woods anyway...

I didn't know rat rodders were into "numbers matching".

I sold a 63 Polara to a neighbor down the street. It was a clean original all red four door, but had some floor pan rust issues. Week later it was flat black with a big plastic rat for a hood ornament.

they're *NOT*...
the seller is just using that for "marketing" purposes in hopes it will jack up the price

Notice that mysterious leak pattern on the heater box. It almost looks like someone weatherproofed the outside of the whole car with a liberal application of Thompson's Water Seal.

I like the high tech anti-carjacking device (baseball bat!) in the floor of the back seat.

As June Cleaver said.."Walt, weren't you a little hard, on the Beaver, last night"?

All that this car needs is a set of cross-rams, to complete its appearance!

Everything that was done to it, I think, can be easily undone. Bidders may stay away from the horror that it is now, but this could end up a good buy for someone.

The bid is up to $3250, and that is too much. Scrap is 250 a ton, so $500 is out, but a thou would buy the car from anybody besides idiots on Ebay.

ah, a person from "hoptown"...
3250 pro'ly isn't too high yet, but definitely approachin' too high...
i've seen ratrods sell for 4500 even with rust surrounding the entire trunk lid and no metal to mount the rubber seal...
they tend to be 25 to 30 year olds, not "collectors" per se...
