57burb - 2013-04-16 3:43 PM Here's a quick photoshop with some '60 Fury hubcaps and whitewalls. Thanks guys, and Magnus, yes it's this time of year we get really tired of the snow! The mud just dries up, then it snows again Holy hell 57Burb, that is so cool!! Thanks! I really need to get photoshop...and learn how to use it! Hmm...very tempting on the whitewalls...One thing I do like about the 17"s is how these cars handle with them on, but the whitewall look is sweet too. DIF-RNT - 2013-04-20 12:04 PM Nice interior........ Thanks, I went with the "raw sharp steel" look that's so popular nowadays. lol. But I'm working on that, can't put inside hides in until I get the top assembly installed.

Yes, been woking on getting side glass in, I adapted power door lock solonoids from an '85 Chrysler 5th avenue. Super easy to install, at least on '60 up cars. Fixed the broken power window regulators as well. Also been getting new side glass put into channels, and now into the doors and quarters. The new top and cylinders are on their way, new windshield is coming mid-may! Update, got the top on!! Thanks to Budweiser for his help! And side glass, carpet, front seats, wiring is done, etc. The car now has power windows, locks, trunk, keyless entry She's booked for exhaust next week, time to finally get her out of the shop and on the road, exciting! Location: North Australia | Outstanding FL Custom. Well done Mate. What/who inspired you to do this combo? You gave the 60 Plymouth (which I like) a whole new look, and a convertible non the less! Looking forward to more pictures. Steve..

Thanks Steve! Well NorthernFins found this car for me, it was a pretty good price and jumped on it without really thinking (we've all been there). But, looking at it afterwards, I just could not bring myself to like that '60 front, though I felt the rest of the '60 is divine. But have loved the '57-8 front since I first saw Christine as a kid, and had a couple '57's laying around. So started to wonder, what if?? I kind of enjoy that sort of work, modifying, adapting. Will get more pics up soon!

Location: Parts Unknown | As "what if ?" cars go, this one really looks great. I have been torn for years about mixing 57 sidetrim and parking lights onto my 58. I think it would be the final word in "perfect design". I too, find the 58 Plymouth nose to be a flawless design, where I find the 60 a little too blunt for the overall slipperiness of the rest of the car. I know "change" was the name of the game then, but I think ol' Ex could have dialed that nose in a little tighter. Nice work. Love the dark top !

Interior is done, for now anyway! I know the door/quarter panels look a little plain, but will add stainless sometime later, when I find some that works for these door panels. I only had one Fury emblem, so I figured that was the best place to use it. Expert 5K+ Posts: 8443 Location: Perth Australia | Those fury emblems are really hard to come by, I think it took me a year to find a set that were any good They are in my small shiny stuff cupboard waiting to go on I dont think I have seen anymore since With the belvie arrow heads on yours, I dont think I would worry about them anyway

Expert Posts: 4589 Location: Northern New Jersey | I have a few of Those Fury emblems tucked away. Are they the ones that go on the front door panels. I believe I have at least 2 NOS ones.

Expert Posts: 2196 Location: Muskego, WI | I really love the front and rear console with 4 bucket seat look, like an early 60s Chrysler 300 or first gen Dodge Charger. But, I prefer a bench so I can snuggle with the Mrs. on a long haul.

But, I prefer a bench so I can snuggle with the Mrs. on a long haul. I do miss a bench at times for just that reason. That's exactly the look I was going for and where I got the idea, from the 1960 300's. But those bucket seats are awesome, on a long drive they are SO comfortable.
