Expert 5K+ Posts: 9911 Location: Lower Mainland BC | mwoss - 2019-01-08 7:18 PM thanks for the help i found a diagram on line for the chrysler my service manual talks about the swivel washers but no pic i didnt take apart thank you again mike I found a 1639 652 that was used on 57-58 Std Steering box mounts (see below) and also on the 1960 Mopars. However, there is no indication that this is two-part "swivel washer" like that shown below: Reference: https://catalog.nordex.com/cc2832 Look for 1639 652 here: http://www.jholst.net/60-parts-manual/steering.pdf (Section 19-02-18) Further along in that pdf, the Power Steering box mounting washer is flagged as "PLAIN" Edited by 56D500boy 2019-01-08 7:53 PM (57-58StdSteeringBoxToFrameWasherPN.jpg) (57-58PowerSteeringGearHousingMountingWasher1639652.jpg) (60PowerSteeringBoxToFrameWasher1639652PLAIN.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 57-58StdSteeringBoxToFrameWasherPN.jpg (162KB - 231 downloads) 57-58PowerSteeringGearHousingMountingWasher1639652.jpg (174KB - 226 downloads) 60PowerSteeringBoxToFrameWasher1639652PLAIN.jpg (130KB - 226 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9911 Location: Lower Mainland BC | I was under my 56 Dodge today and looked up and saw a wedge "washer" under one end of the PS box mount (nothing at the other end). I presume that the wedge is used to make some adjustment. See below: (56DodgePSBoxMountWedgeWasher_Annotated.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 56DodgePSBoxMountWedgeWasher_Annotated.jpg (184KB - 224 downloads)
