Could you paint the air cleaners a lighter shade of gold to match the proper color? Thanks Jan, you are a forwardlook hero! Edited by Powerflite 2020-11-09 12:59 PM

Expert Posts: 2196 Location: Muskego, WI | I'm sure a lot of us have designed and made our own parts when good originals or reproduction parts aren't available, but don't have the means to manufacture them for others. Example, I recently modeled my 1960 Plymouth wagon gas tank strap in SolidWorks. It was laser cut and then I carefully bent it using the original as a guide. Is there a place in this forum where we can document and share drawings, CAD models, plans so others can reproduce these parts if they need them? If not, should we start one?

Is there a place in this forum where we can document and share drawings, CAD models, plans so others can reproduce these parts if they need them? If not, should we start one? This is an EXCELLENT idea! I'm slowly working on acquiring some new-generation manufacturing equipment like 3-D printers and laser cutters to start making stuff for other model builders. I might be willing to look into doing low-volume production or prototyping. There are a pretty large number of small metal and plastic shops in this area, and most of them could use some work, and I could help that along. If nothing else, having the information clearing house would be an excellent idea and resource for everyone. Charlie Larkin

(Underneath rear 1/4 window)Most every 60-64 CPD coupe I see is in need on this panel. A patch that went from door jamb to just before dog leg.
