Regular Posts: 53 | They just send you a copy of the card and they tell you the dealer (if they have it). No more decodes.

Post up what you got along with a clear photo of the metal build tag on the cowl area under the hood (somewhere). We (somebody here) will try to help you figure it all out.

I captured it and tried to make it better but it is terrible. How are you getting it from the hardcopy that FCA sent you to the digital image? The image I got from FCA for my 56 Dodge was much better. Like this (I think I high resolution scanned it and then brought it down to less than 250 kB to work here): Edited by 56D500boy 2019-03-02 4:30 PM (DForgies56D500BuildCard_trimmed_small.jpg) Attachments ---------------- DForgies56D500BuildCard_trimmed_small.jpg (235KB - 193 downloads)

Veteran Posts: 189 Location: Northern Illinois | hi dave, I used my cell phone to take the pic then loaded it on my pc. my image from fca is pretty clear. I think its in the photo sizing is where the fuzziness is coming from

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9911 Location: Lower Mainland BC | hondaman1974 - 2019-03-02 3:56 PM paint code 01 trim code 434 axle 35 where can you see if it was a solid color or two tone car? what code? You haven't shown (or I haven't seen a photo of your car) but based on the limited information that I can see from the IBM card, your car is a 1955 Dodge Custom Royal that was originally all (single tone) 501 (or "01") Jewell black. I don't know 55 trim codes. (Sorry) The engine that it left the factory with was D553-12136 (which I think would be the 270 cu inch Super Red Ram Hemi (??)) It looks like your car was scheduled to be build on Nov. 22, 1954 and it was built on or about Nov. 20, 1954 and shipped on Nov. 26, 1954.
