1955: 259 Plymouth, 270 Dodge
1956: 270 or 277 Plymouth, 315 Dodge
So there aren't any 277 motors in 1955, and almost nothing from a 270 will swap onto a 277. |

Not to be contradictory or anything ( ) BUT Dodge did have a 270 2bbl V8 as the base Coronet V8.
