Expert Posts: 1478 Location: Pacific Northwest | Greetings from the other side of the planet. I'm up here in the Pacific Northwest and have just discovered that the 1955 Diplomat has one of if not THE coolest grills. I have a 1956 Plymouth that would be stunning if I could locate a grill and the accompanying headlight surrounds. Not really sure how cost prohibited this may be but it's worth looking into. Send me a PM or reply to this thread if anyone has any ideas. Cheers, Andrew (42832155954_8f9d7db44a_b.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 42832155954_8f9d7db44a_b.jpg (172KB - 470 downloads)

Elite Veteran Posts: 977 Location: Sydney, Australia | Hi Andrew, Are you on Facebook? Here is a FB Groups to try. Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth parts Australia wide ( A lot of Americans in that group as well) There is another good one called "Forwardlook cars down under" which just doesn't stick to FL cars.. You'll probably get the word out there faster using FB groups. Bigger audience to help regarding questions or parts. Edited by matte 2019-07-27 6:21 PM

Thanks, andrew LOL I know what you mean. I'm purely on FB for car groups and marketplace but even then, social media is slowly taking it's toll on me. I'll ask around. A guy over here posted on one of the groups asking has anyone got Chrysler aero parts but he knew the chances of this in Australia.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9681 Location: So. Cal | I think that listed grill is for the US '54 body style, but in Australia, was used til '55. (Diplomat.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Diplomat.jpg (213KB - 390 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9681 Location: So. Cal | I would bet that the grill bar & lights from a '55 US DeSoto is the same part. The teeth on it are larger because they are using '54 US DeSoto teeth on it. So purchase a '54 DeSoto grill with a couple of extra teeth, and 1 '55 DeSoto grill and you can make the same thing. BigM may have everything you need for that. But the headlight surrounds are going to be the hard part.
