Extreme Veteran Posts: 403 Location: California | Me too! It’s a stunning car and I love this color. I’m very tempted by it. If it were a DeSoto I would have already bought it. I know most people turn their noses up at 4 dr cars, but this ones a steal at that price in this condition. There’s a lot of rusty junk out there. I love these 57-58 Chrysler’s but the DeSoto has wildest rear end styling of the two. Love the tri-tower lights and exhaust pods. Edited by Suddenlyits1960! 2020-05-10 11:44 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9681 Location: So. Cal | I would buy it, add bumper guards, the 2-tone sweep, right side mirror, disc brakes, Chrysler dog dish caps, 4bbl intake, carb & air cleaner, dual exhaust, electronic ignition, 2.76 gears, re-paint the gauge housings, & get new rear springs and then have fun with it. I don't think it would be that hard to add the sweep. Just have to touch up the paint where you fill in the holes outside the sweep. Can anyone tell if this has power steering or not? That would be the main deciding factor to me. Adding that is expensive and painful. Also, what is that white cord coming from the distributor or heater box? Extreme Veteran Posts: 403 Location: California | Powerflite,if you end up buying her, post some photos once you install the sweep. I would love to see how it comes out. It really makes the car, kind of like the sport tone inserts on the 58 Belvedere.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9681 Location: So. Cal | I can't buy it as I have no money, I may be moving and I have too many other projects. But I do like it, and it wouldn't take much to make it fun for me to drive. Do you think he would trade for a '33 Chevy coupe? That's about the only way I could make it happen.

I know what you mean,I have some money set aside for another Forward Look I’ve been searching for,so I have to stay focused and try not to be tempted by others that come up. Lol. I saw this when it was listed as part of an estate about two months ago. The same person also had a 1950 Chrysler Windsor convertible in similar condition. It’s being sold through an agent for the owner who I was told is in his 70’s. I doubt very much they would be doing any trades, and they were adamant about the price being firm or he would “just keep it”,but you can give it a shot.
