I have seen concourse restored 61 imperials with the engine vents both ways. one dumps to atmosphere the other with a valve back to the engine. I have talked to original owners with unmodified cars and they claim the valve is original. What gives?

PCV valves were factory available as an option in 1961, but mandatory for California cars. An Imperial with a PCV valve had a Carter carburetor 3134S on it originally.
