Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13055 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | My version of the C3646 Pitman arm puller made of 355 construction steel and partly a fubar puller. Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13055 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | All parts were heated up to 200º C (392º F) before TIG welding. Then the puller has been cured and media blasted. Most probably the original puller was made by Miller. The function is smooth and very nice. I pre-heated the Pitman arm with my induction heater to 70º C, mounted my puller and the Pitman arm came off with just a couple of turns of the bolt. The Pitman arm has never been demounted before so it had more than 60 years to rest and rust - still no match for the proper tool (C3646_0-rez.jpg) (C3646_1-rez.jpg) (C3646_2-rez.jpg) (C3646_3-rez.jpg) (C3646_4-rez.jpg) Attachments ---------------- C3646_0-rez.jpg (132KB - 213 downloads) C3646_1-rez.jpg (115KB - 215 downloads) C3646_2-rez.jpg (233KB - 223 downloads) C3646_3-rez.jpg (163KB - 216 downloads) C3646_4-rez.jpg (168KB - 216 downloads)

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13055 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Thanks' guys. the long bar with the rectangle is for to hold the yoke on the differential when loosening or tighten the nut.
