Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon		I don't often stray into areas such as an early 300 with an RB but......
Helping a friend with a rebuild and we find that the previous rebuild used a couple different pushrods
and rockers among other anomalies.
Can someone confirm that the pushrods should be 1/4" tip T&B?
I hate second guessing myself but we found that the existing pushrods have 1/4 bottoms and 5/16 tops and
some of the rockers are obviously for 1/4 tip and others not, apparently post 67 parts....?
We want to make sure this is spot-on when finished.

Is there a source for the early bath tubs?

Location: So. Cal		I can't answer the question about the push rods, but 440Source can get you nearly anything you need for a B or RB engine. They do sell the early style valley pan covers too.

Location: northern germany		Yes, the early up to 67 push rods have a smaller tip.

Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon		Well, after some careful research in the appropriate service manual it actually says to install the pushrods with 'the small tip into the tappet'...
I should not amazed that MaMopar made such a combination.
Now dealing with what still appears to be a rocker arm with a 'too-small' of a pocket for the 5/16 tip as the wear pattern does not show contact
at the bottom of the pocket ....hhmmm

Location: northern germany		OK, just reread your OP... The upper end remained always the same, just the lower (lifter) end was enlarged in 67/68.

FWIW, the big block rocker arm part numbers are the same from '58-'67 but changed in '68. Not sure what the difference is, if any, but I agree with Sid...the top pocket is for the 5/16".
