Hi - I'm new to this forum. I own a 1957 Plymouth Savoy with a 301 Poly V8 engine.
I'm gathering the parts to convert from 2 BBL to 4 BBL.
So far, I have the WCFB 2530S, 4 BBL intake (p/n 1619826), 4BBL choke thermostat and 'Side Saddle' 4BBL air cleaner.

My questions are about the air cleaner mounting brackets. Apparently there are two brackets - front and rear.
One pic I found on the Forward Look shows the front bracket attached to the valve cover.
The rear bracket attachment is more of a mystery to me.

Can anyone tell me where these brackets attach?
Also does anyone have them for sale or know where to buy them?
Or is it easier to fabricate my own brackets?

Have a look at this thread (it might be the one that you found already but maybe not):

If you think you need a bracket on the back, your likely better off just making one similar to the front one.

The "A" poly brackets are quite a bit different from the hemi or semi-hemi poly brackets. The Plymouth engine mounted the side saddle air cleaner at both sides from the same middle bolt connection on the valve cover. You can see the brackets for it in this picture. Also, Plymouth used the round lid air cleaner, like what was used on the Dodge, without A/C.

I'm planning on making a bracket from 1 inch wide flat steel.
Question: How thick - 1/16 or 1/8 inch?

1/8" thick.
By the way, I'm pretty sure that bracket is all one piece, not 2 pieces, like on the hemi engines.
