The fin front end trim is a difficult part. Either are they insanely pitted or /and are without mounting studs. I made a rh side one out of 2mm stainless steel. The lh side one is
next. The result is not perfect but at least decent IMO. And they are forever!

I like it! As someone who used many square feet of stainless steel to recreate or improve stock '56 Plymouth parts, I can appreciate your work.

Comparing the mirroring surfaces, must say, this is an artwork! Hats off Ralf.

Do you will chrome plate to get the brighter reflections? On stainless stell can plate directly. I think a pre copper layer may allow an easier polishing.  - SERGE -

Hi Ralf,

The 58 only has one pin on the front, same part but with one of the pins broken off,

Nicely made parts though,

Paul.

How much can I pay you to whittle a long piece of 59 Custom Royal lower side trim for my passenger quarter?

Excellent work for sure

Ralf, I am amazed at all the parts you can make from scratch!  They look exactly like the originals too.  Well done!

Serge ,that piece belongs to a truck. They are a little different from the Coronet 1957 ones.

To fabricate a 1959 Dodge CR long quarter trim is "impossible" by hand. Only way I can think of is to mill it from a stainless flat bar and that would be costly..

You’re right Ralf, that’s why I’ll just end up butting two four door pieces together as others have done, no choice in the matter

Have you made any other trim parts for your 57? I always like seeing this stuff

These were installed today. Pretty decent to be "homemade"....no studs at the moment..stainless is soo tricky to drill holes in with any kind of precision.
They sit with 3M red molding glue tape now...very strong bond.
