Tony: Not sure what you mean by "gasket". There is a rubber cover that goes over the carpet in an attempt at keeping the engine fumes, dust and weather out of the passenger compartment. The one for the manual trans cars is a bit different because of the need to accomodate the shifter tube.

The blue carpet one is my car with power steering.

I think that you could modify a manual "pad" into a Powerflite pad fairly easily.

dave, looks like mopar calls this a pad, but yes thats what i was talking about. dont have to worry about the shift lever hole as it will be staying an automatic. was wondering about the diameter of the large hole between manual and p.s. "pads" havent had a chance to measure both columns to see the difference. wouldnt be horrible if i had to modify, just would like to have the correct part. Tony

According to the 55-58 Parts book, I think he PN you are looking for is either 1657 046 1657 051. I can't seem to find either one. You might have to try John at Big M for a good used one.

To be clear, I ended up putting my "pad" (which I called a "Dust Shield") under the carpet:

I thought it looked neater to have the carpet over the pad/dust shield:

All that said, if I could find a NOS pad, I would buy it and install it.

PS: I did fix that dangling electronic signal light flasher:
