My P.S. pump is starting to make the sound of low fluid even though it's full.
20 years ago when I bought my Suburban, I remember that I rebuilt this pump. I thought I kept every receipt but I can't find a kit # for this pump.
I do recall it was a fairly easy rebuild.
Before I remove it, I would like to have a kit in-hand. I found picts of the backs of the TRW next to a FEDERAL but I think it is an EATON.
When I pull up a EATON pump, all I find is the actual pump without a housing or a FORD EATON with the tank on top.
I replace the cap a few years back and after buying a couple wrong sizes I found one that fits that also fits a 65 Mustang.
Does that make it and EATON? I have a rebuilt TRW. Are EATON, FEDERAL, & TRW pumps readily interchangeable?
What IDs an EATON from the other 2?

I've had this pump for 15 years. It is marked as a "professionally rebuilt TRW? with 5/8" return".
Anyone know it's application? It doesn't look like aa direct replacement so I might just sell it if I know what it fits.

Eaton PS pumps are the ones with the big round reservoir. The Vickers pumps have a much smaller reservoir.

If your PS pump has a big round reservoir but an extension that uses a small cap, it is from a Ford.
