IML: I haven't seen these before...

...on the outside fenders of the '61 Crown, there are turn signal indicators.

Now, on the site, in all the pictures of any '61 Imperial model, I haven't seen these turn signal indicators.  That's all they do.  They don't light up when the lights (parking, lo, or hi beam) are on; they only flash when the turn signal is activated -- sort of like the old 70's issue Plymouth Scamps.

Does anyone know if this was a dealer option or something aftermarket that someone added?
