Hello Club-
Still hoping someone with a 55 or older Imp can tell me how to wire up my
neutral safety switch on the left inner front fender. As I mentioned in my last
e-mail, I fried the original with a jump start at a meet when my 55 wouldn't
start to take me home. No one there had a six volt battery, had to use a 12.
Replaced it with a generic that allowed it to start in any gear. Would
really wake one up if you forgot and left it in gear when cranking. Have since
found an original in a junkyard, need to install it but forgot the wiring set
up. Have tried every combination except right one so far-can't get it right. My
shop manual doesn't even show the neutral safety switch.
Can anyone help? Or should I just continue to make sure that little stick
in the dash is in "neutral" before I crank?
