RE: IML: push button automatics

My 63 did have a problem once in 12 years, trans would not select properly, but all it took was about 10 minutes and a can of wd40.Take out the push button keyboard a bit and spray it , buttons are then just fine !. never happened again.

for many years I have heard old war stories between people and the pushbutton automatics, I under stand that they would get stuck and a driver played hell trying to get the car to either go revese after being in a forward gear and vise versa, MY question to all is is this a problem that exzists with our IMPERIALS, ? and if so has anyone solved this and how did you do it?
