Hello list!
I had gone onto JC Taylor's website and requested a quote on insurance
for two of my vintage vehicles. I received an email back stating that they
had to know if the cars had been modified from stock in any manner, and if
so...how. Apparently, since I live in Washington State, they are only able
to insure completely stock vehicles in my State. This is fine in my
case since mine are completely stock, but this may affect others who, for
instance, have upgraded to disc brakes, etc. I am not sure what other
States are affected by this, if any.
Just thought I would pass that information on to the list...seemed
pertinent to me.

Subject: Re: IML: Antique Car Insurance
Co. Recommendations?
Hi
I have my insurance with Mercury. I live in a
small town in Southern California and my rates are low compared to cities. I
have three other vehicles plus my 1955 Imperial. When I added the Imperial I
think my bill went up less than $100 a year.

P. S. I just got the build info from
Daimler-Chrysler and learned that my Imperial has it's "BIG 50" coming
up on March 16 !

Subject: IML: Antique Car Insurance Co.
Recommendations?
Gang: Can anyone recommend a
particularly good insurance company for an antique car? Also helpful would
be recommendations about what companies to avoid. I am not sure that I want
to stay with State Farm....
Thanks...
