Dirk.  Yes it is.  lay on the ground and stick your hand up behind the
grille.  Find the cable sheath and give it a good pull downward.  That
should unlock the hood.  If not, you may be able to reach the lock mechanism
and trip that.  It helps to have an idea of how it's put together first.
You'll have to undo some of the plastic fasteners that hold the rubber
filler between the bumper and belly pan in order to get your arm up in
there.
