Re: IML: Does anyone have the secret

There are hooks made out of upside-down V shaped
sheetmetal welded to the floor of the car under the
front edge of the rear seat cushion. The seat bottom
fits into a groove at the rear and then flexes to have
its springer frame sprung into the hooks on the
floor. Get your fingers under the bottom front edge
of the seat and wiggle it using pressure and pushing
inwards. I use my knee. You'll pop the seat bottom
out this way one side at a time. Pay attention as
reinstall is reverse procedure.

Once the bottom comes out, you can then access the two
bolts that affix the back (at bottom). Seatback is
hanging on hooks and lifts up vertically when
unbolted.

I have a body shell with the bare hooks if you want a
photo, but if you stick your fingers under the front
edge of the seat bottom and fool around/look/use your
noodle you should be OK.

I think that Lance was trying to say that, but my
understanding was a little different from the words
that I read so I thought I'd pitch in my thoughts on
that.
