Well, I guess you really can't tell from the pictures, but I tend to believe this one is for real. There are enough clues visible to the trained eye to support it. It truely could be preserved in such a way that everything, except possibly the air conditioning, would still work.  

The cars that are being mentioned with low miles that were ruined had been improperly stored. Believe it or not, it is possible to store a car and not ruin it. The trouble is that very few of us ever do. This car may have been stored that way. 

It is also interesting that the owner had been connected to the auto industry. This would further add to the likelihood that some one who knew what they were doing took care of it, possibly even professionally for many years.

I am very pleased to have the chance to see pictures of this car. It really does remind me of how these cars appeared when they were in their heyday. The litte details like the tires, suspension hieght, gloss, color, and more all add up to a look that I have seldom seen since the late '60s.
