May be because these were the "entry price level" Imperials, the people that
bought them appreciated them for being real luxury cars, or being their only
luxury car they owned, so they did take care of them.

Too bad my Sedan did not have that luxury.  It was a very well used car, and
when I got it it had at least 200K on it (may be 300).  The interior and
suspension had had the signs of lots of use, but because the car had not seen
long periods of inactivity as most of these old cars have seen, it was very
reliable.  I say it "was", because I do not drive it as much any more.  But it
still seems to be more reliable than the other 68 (LeBaron) that saw long
periods of inactivity.
