RE: IML: mysterious wheelcover / '55 & '56



The standard wheel covers for these years may have different part numbers, but there are no differences between them that are visible to the human eye. They are totally interchangable. I have seen '56 cars pictured wearing the same wheel cover with the exception of an argent/car color finish in the center, but never have seen these covers on any cars, or in person. I suspect these special covers were early prototypes that were used in early advertising.

The part number is not permanently (if at all) indicated on the wheel cover.

The Limo and 8 Passenger Sedan did not use this cover in either year, although I believe it will fit.
