Re: IML: "smoke" entering steering colum



I think Ken is right.  I had smoke through the steering column once on an
old chevy and it from a turn signal relay cooking itself.  I didn't pay
enough attention for the first few puffs, but it drew more and more amps and
finally the whole dashboard was curling white smoke.  By a miracle the car
didn't burn, but it took a new harness to get it back on the road.
