It seems I read someplace that you shouldn't crank the engine longer then that if it refuses to start without a rest in beween trys. I guess, If we all took this advice, we wouldn't be replacing starters near as often.

well, that is great. It is just that I refuse to use a starter for more than twenty seconds, as it is heat that kills them, electrical and that from the engine. I am happy that you have no problems. ron
