A steady hand and a lot of patience will allow you to re-attach those
tiny Litz wires on the gauge pointers. You can rebuild the power pack
yourself also. I put a new cap in mine and it works perfectly. You may
as well take this opportunity to repaint the gauge pointers as well
since you are already in there. If you prefer not to do the work
yourself, you can send all your instruments and power pack to
jcauto.com. You can check out their site for pricing and instructions. I
have not used them, but others on the list may have comments. Hope this
helps! Alex-63 Crown

I took my instrument-panel out yesterday to replace the chrome

what one or two of you folks were talking about a while back with
reference to the human-hair-like wire that allows the pointer to
light, and sure enough, mine were no longer connected to the
needles. does anyone know of some one who can and/or will repair
these? I also think I remember someone mentioning that someone
re-builds the power-packs for the electroluminescent system
Thanks in advance for any help.
