Re: IML: Recommended upholsterer

Hello, everyone.

The front seat of my '60 Crown S.H. was repaired yesterday.
Fortunately, the 45 year old leather and fabric materials were
all  strong enough to restitch. This has bought me and the car
some time before the interior can be redone properly.

For anybody  in the Northeast or with connections here,
I recommend to you Howard Priest of Marlborough MA.
He did a great job on the seat, and even did extra work
such as replacing some of the original soft metal seat bolts
with stainless ones. He is very thorough and even mentioned
that the seat bolts should be periodically sealed as they are
drilled through the car's floor. Welded bolts didn't come into use
until the mid or late 60s.

Howard has a lot of experience with custom leather and upholstery
work as well as body experience too. His office no. is (508) 251-1439.
