IML: Solved the alternator question



Thanks to the '63 FSM on the web site.  Neither the '64 online nor my
printed '66 have this excellent graphic with arrows and explanations of
what the various features on the case represent.

There should be no grounding wire that extrudes from the GRD screw place,
open slot notwithstanding.  That is where the brush grounds to the case.

Ergo, I have an old style two-wire alternator.  Which does not solve my
problem, but at least I know one more thing that it's not.  Grrrrr...
