IML: Windshield Install

I had a used windshield installed in my '63 last summer. I took on the clean up duty of the replacement piece of glass and spent a couple of hours or more cleaning out the old sealant from both channels of the rubber gasket, and scrubbing it to a like new appearance. I contemplated installing it myself. Thanks to all who suggested keeping the old gasket as it was fine after a thorough cleaning. After it was installed, I was glad that I opted to get some assistance with it.
I called a guy who was recommended by the Mopar guys up at Wildcat Wrecking. He's done glass work for years, and appreciated the little bit of help I gave him with the rubber gasket and setting the windshield in place. He sealed it up well and it hasn't leaked a drop. I installed the trim pieces which he also appreciated and saved me some labor time.
My recommendation is to at least have another person as a helper at the point where the rubber gasket is installed to the body, and then when the glass is set into the rubber gasket. The rest is a one person job.

Will be installing a windshield this weekend in Bakersfield. Anyone have any tips or how to do this for first timmer? I have read my manual several times but like to hear from some one who has done it themselves. It is the 56 Hardtop I will be doing.

Thanks
