I was thinking the same thing. quite often glass shops have people working for them who dont know any more than you do about vintage glass. I have done both old and late model windshields and can tell you first hand that there is no comparison. the late models are much easier as well. its ok to hire it out but be positive the shop has experiance with older glass .
