Daniel;

My '55 has the early, winged type pad . I've removed all the trim, but still
could not get the pad out  without bending the metal. I spent a number of
hour of playing with different positions. The club's website was researched
and hte experiences of others led me to having the windshield opened. If you
have removed the winged pad successfully, I'd sure like to hear mor from you
on your experience.
