IML: More steering column questions

Last week I wrote about problems with the power steering on my 65.  
Took it to the mechanic and they suspect the problem is in the  
column, maybe a failed bearing. It's not apart yet but I want to get  
as much info to them as I can.

Who made the steering components that year?

Do these columns interchange with any other Chrysler vehicles?

Has anybody on the list had their column repaired?

Where would you go for parts? I'm assuming these won't be available  
locally.
