I am repairing the roof om my 1969 LeBaron 2 door and have posted several times about progress. Most recently I have been grinding rust out of the windshield frame using a die grinder with carbide burrs. Again, most of the rust that I have discovered was not remotely obvious with the roof on. The windshield frame rust was not even obvious with the roof removed and I was not aware of it until I pulled the windshield out. I am very glad that I decided to remove the windshield, even though it broke and I need to find a replacement. I am having a very hard time reconciling putting another vinyl roof on having seen the damage that the last one caused. I also think that I like the looks of the car more without the vinyl roof. It looks smoother, sleeker, faster. These may not necessarily be Imperial attributes, but I like them.
I still have much work to do before I think about finishing this, but it may end up being a bare top LeBaron.

Hopefully, the roofs don't rust completely off all of them before that day comes. That is a major pain on these years. John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Middlebrook" To: Sent: Wednesday, April 26, 2006 8:15 PM Subject: Re: IML: Question of the Day
