IML: 1968 Side Trim Attachment?

Can someone tell me how the side trim was attached to
the 1968 Imperial? 

I ask because the previous owner of my convertible
removed the side trim, and I can't tell if the trim
had been held down by posts that have been ground
down, or holes that have been filled in.

Either way, I'm concerned about how to get the right
trim re-installed.
