I am writing to provide an update reagrding my
experience with Mr. Rosen.
The car (62 4-door) arrived today (in Illinois)
from Phoenix. I bought the for the sheet metal to be grafted onto my
63 convertible. The car is pretty much rust free and as described.
I must confess to one problem that arose
between Mr. Rosen and the transporter. With intervention on my part
the problem was easily worked out.
In the future I will contact Mr. Rosen.
Mr. Rosen is an unusal character. If someone
wants to deal with him I recommend they remember the saying caveat emptor (buyer
beware). However, I would make this recommendation regardless of the
seller.
By the way if anyone is interested Mr. Rosen has
access to a 63 2-door. He said it has burgundy interior and is completely
rust free. He said it can be restored or used for parts. I am pretty
sure the asking price is $3,000.00. I told him I was not interested at
this time but would think about it. Apparently, the car is complete (i.e.
trim pieces are all there). If anyone is interested let me know and I will
provide you with his telephone number.
