The only thought that comes to mind on this is to keep in mind that any custom car is not necesarily cheaper to build than a restoration these days.
Their costs are almost equivalent. But I guarantee that you will get a lot more return on your investment if you decide to restore the car as close to its original form as possible.
Judging from what I normally see at shows and other car events, most people could care less about the details that make up a pedigree or 100 point car. Unless you're going for an AACA escutcheon on the grille, an average and presentable restoration will make that car very popular and well received.

I recently bought a second 1960 Imperial 4 doorcustom (yesterday) I have one in the middle of a fullrestore. It is a numbers matching all original.

The second I just got is the same. Bad news isthe engine was full of water over a winter. Cracks!!! Now thequestion.

Has anyone ever seen a custom built from a 60Imperial?

If in my position would you purchase a new 413ci and kindof restore it? (I say kind of because it would be a different engine.)

I ask because I am debating on makinga hot rod that is similar to the original to show side by side. Paintthem both the same and such.

Just wanted to hear some thoughts on this.
