Re: IML: 73 won't start..(may be duplicate posting)

If it started before the cap, rotor, and wires were installed, I would say that there is still something wrong with the work. How did you determine that the wires were installed incorrectly? How do you know that they are installed correctly now? Did you replace them one at a time or take them all out at once? Even if they are in the right order, you could have moved them one tower off on the distributor cap and that would make it not run. Are you sure that the #1 wire corresponds correctly to the #1 tower on the cap?

The parts that you mention are not adjustable, so replacing them should have no effect if done correctly.

Apologies all around if this posted twice..

After changing the plug wires, (and cap and rotor)and trying and trying to start it. I found out the plug wires at the cap were installed wrong..after making sure they were installed "right" it still won't start...I read in the info in the repair section of the OIC, and am wondering if the plugs are fouled, or the timing has to be reset.  Thanks ..
