Probably no one felt qualified to answer this question. If no one steps up
to it, I think you may have to ask an upholstery expert.  Hides are tricky -
you really have to look at the sewing patterns, and you also have to inspect
the hides to see what can be cut out of what without showing blemishes etc.
As you know, I've re-upholstered a few cars, and we always buy way too much
leather (and other supplies), but that is the only way to avoid having to
deal with mis-matched dye lots.
